About the Conference

NAQ has been hosting an annual conference for Developmental Disability Professionals since 1996 - providing an avenue for connecting with other professionals, sharing evidence based best practices, and serving as a resource for learning and continued education.  A great deal has changed since that debut event but our focus on providing outstanding tools and resources to DDPs has not waivered. 

NAQ is delighted to announce that our 2022 in-person event will be held August 2-5, 2022 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, LA.  Attendees of the in-person event are required to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and proof of vaccination must be submitted at the time of registration.  For those who are unable or prefer not to be vaccinated, we are offering a virtual option from August 17 - 18, 2022.  Please see "Attendee Registration Information" for more details.      

The theme - "Moving Forward: A Future of Possibilities" - reflects NAQ's commitment to creating a bright future for Developmental Disability Professionals.  Attendees can look forward to learning about innovative & practical solutions that help us move beyond the challenges we face.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect in-person events.  While NAQ is excited to bring back these opportunities to Learn, Connect, and Share, we also recognize that – despite proactive measures - there is some risk to attendees.    We ask that you keep the following in mind when registering for the in-person event:

  1.  By registering for this conference, the in-person conference attendee is acknowledging that NAQ (including its agents, officers, directors, members, contractors, and employees) is not responsible for any personal injury or illness (including death), property damage, or loss suffered by the attendee occurring at or arising out of the conference or conference-related activities.
  2. NAQ reserves the right to transition the 2022 DDP Conference to a virtual event.  This decision would be made on or before July 4, 2022.  
  3. In-person registrants are strongly advised to make travel arrangements (hotel, airfare, etc.) that are refundable. NAQ strives to keep events affordable and thus cannot accept liability for costs and fees incurred by attendees.
